My name is Fehmida Chipty, and I am a passionate photographer, a physician, and COO of a wellness startup.
I have always had a passion for viewing and experiencing art, however, I did not allow myself to indulge in the creation of art until the last few years. As I have immersed myself in photography, I have come to realize that in fact, art is not an indulgence, but a necessity. It allows me to understand myself and the ways I interact with the world.

As I have started to grow my creative practice, it has become an integral part of my life and I have become increasingly aware of the lack of creative engagement and experience within my communities. Our society does not prioritize the arts. Discussions on art are certainly few and far between amongst the general population and even across creative communities.
There is an illusion that you need to be specialized in a specific medium to identify as an artist and talk about art. And further there exists a belief that you need to have studied art or have a certain sophistication to appreciate art. I would like to break down these barriers and make art and creative practice accessible to everyone. This is where my idea for Zamana Interactive originated.
Zamana Interactive is a program that provides corporate team building through the lens of art and creativity. It is designed to strengthen interpersonal connections and help your teams reach new levels of collaboration. Zamana Interactive is a platform for intergenerational conversation, a space to clear the mind and be open to creative growth. We can learn from the views and lived experiences of our peers.
